6 Clean Eating Tips

A foolproof guide to cleaning up your diet, eating healthier and feeling better.

 

1. Load up on fruits & vegetables- increase fiber, vitamins & minerals

2. Go whole grain- quinoa, brown rice, gluten free oats

3. Avoid the “whites”- white pasta, sugar, bread

4. Watch out for processed foods- read labels for refined grains, added sugars, partially hydrogenated oils.

5. Limit added sugar- it’s more than just the obvious sweets like soda, candy & baked goods.  Watch out for the amount of sugar in yogurt, cereal, granola, tomato sauce, and condiments.

6. Stay hydrated- drink half your body weight in ounces every day. Add lemon, lime or orange slices for better hydration.
